Scottish Genealogical Research Seminar

NHSCOT is thrilled to launch a new Scottish Genealogical Research Seminar Series with genealogist Ronald W. Collins. Join us to start uncovering your Scottish roots!

Choose from one of the following dates:

Thursday, April 9 from 7 – 8pm
Thursday, June 11
from 7 – 8pm
Thursday, December 10 from 7 – 8pm

This is a Virtual Event via Microsoft Teams.

Whether you’re just beginning your family history journey or looking to break through research roadblocks, this seminar will give you the tools and confidence to move forward.

This session focuses on two essential goals:

  • Tracing your family from North America back to Scotland
  • Tracing your family within Scotland

In addition, you’ll learn proven research methodologies and discover trusted sources for accurate historical records. As well as gain clarity on which sources should be taken as a guide and not as a source of historically accurate data. Ronald will provide a live demonstration of how to use ScotlandsPeople and other Scotland-based resources, plus share recommendations for software to help you organize and preserve your family data.

Seminars will take place online via Microsoft Teams. Participation in this seminar is $25.
