PAST EVENTS/TRAVEL
While the NH Highland Games & Festival is our biggest and most visible initiative in promoting our Scottish culture and traditions, NHSCOT also hosts and participates in a number of other events throughout the year to further support our mission. From venturing across the pond during our Discover Scotland trips with Collette Tours, to proudly marching in the Tartan Day Parade in New York City, we look forward to sharing our Scottish culture with people today and for generations to come!
Hogmanay 2024
Our Hogmanay Celebration in 2024 took place at Pembroke Pines Country Club in Pembroke, NH. This is a family-friendly event celebrating New Years – Scottish style! A wonderful event filled with great music, lively activities and spirited competitions both indoors & out.
NH Highland Games & Festival 2024
Our premiere event, the NH Highland Games & Festival, is one of the largest and most diverse Highland Games held in North America with something for everyone from Scottish music, dance, food, and fun to heavy athletics, sheep dog trials, and crowd-favorite, massed bands.
Scotland Trip 2023
NHSCOT partnered with Collette Tours to go on small group tours of Scotland called DISCOVER SCOTLAND. Together we enjoy authentic, fun, and local experiences as we share in group travel to Scotland’s heart-stopping vistas. We visit with some familiar faces from the NH Highland Games as our tour offers special, unique experiences you won’t find on your own or on other tours.
Scottish Bound Book Club with Diane Gabaldon
In May 2022, our book club was reviewing the newest book from the Outlander series, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone by Diana Gabaldon. At this book club meeting we were lucky enough to be joined by Ms. Gabaldon herself! Hogmanay 2023
Our first Hogmanay Celebration was a huge success! On a beautiful evening in late December, NHSCOT fans and friends joined together to ring in the New Year, Scottish style. Revelers of all ages enjoyed lively activities and spirited competitions! We can’t wait to do this again.
Scotland Trip 2022
NHSCOT partnered with Collette Tours to go on the second Discover Scotland – Passport Required tour in 2022. On this customized trip, guests enjoyed visiting with familiar faces from the NH Highland Games as well as seeing the stunning landscapes, lively cities, and stirring history that embodies Scotland.
Great Kilt Skate 2022
Our first Annual Great Kilt Skate was great fun for everyone! This event began in Canada and has spread to NYC, Boston, and now Concord, NH! Many people came dressed in kilts as well as other tartan attire and enjoyed a relaxing day skating on the pond at White Park.
