PAST EVENTS/TRAVEL
While the NH Highland Games & Festival is our biggest and most visible initiative in promoting our Scottish culture and traditions, NHSCOT also hosts and participates in a number of other events throughout the year to further support our mission. From venturing across the pond during our Discover Scotland trips with Collette Tours, to proudly marching in the Tartan Day Parade in New York City, we look forward to sharing our Scottish culture with people today and for generations to come!
Hogmanay 2023
Our first Hogmanay Celebration 2023 was wonderful! On the first day of the new year, NHSCOT fans and friends joined together to ring in 2023, Scottish style. Revelers of all ages enjoyed lively activities and spirited competitions.
Scotland Trip 2022
NHSCOT partnered with Collette Tours to go on the second Discover Scotland – Passport Required tour in 2022. On this customized trip, guests enjoyed visiting with familiar faces from the NH Highland Games as well as seeing the stunning landscapes, lively cities, and stirring history that embodies Scotland.
Scottish Bound Book Club with Diane Gabaldon
In May 2022, our book club was reviewing the newest book from the Outlander series, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone by Diana Gabaldon. At this book club meeting we were lucky enough to be joined by Ms. Gabaldon herself! Outlander Viewing Party 2020
Outlander is a historical drama TV series (based off a book series) that takes place in Scotland. We have hosted a couple viewing parties at New England’s Tap House Grille in Hooksett, NH. Attendees enjoyed a trivia contest, costume competition and fun with family and friends before the show began.
Scotland Trip 2019
NHSCOT partnered with Collette Tours to go on the first ever Discover Scotland – Passport Required tour in 2019. On this customized trip, guests enjoyed visiting with familiar faces from the NH Highland Games as well as seeing the stunning landscapes, lively cities, and stirring history that embodies Scotland.
Tartan Day 2019
Every March, NHSCOT, our Pipe Band, and a bus full of fans head to New York City to participate in the Tartan Day Parade. The parade is part of a week-long series of events that recognize the contributions made by Scottish-Americans to the United States. It truly is a sight to see the streets of New York City flooded in bagpipes and tartan!
Past NH Highland Games & Festival
Our premiere event, the NH Highland Games & Festival, is the largest and most diverse Highland Games in North America. We welcome 40,000 people to Loon Mountain to enjoy three full days of all things Scottish! Here’s a highlight reel of some of our favorite moments from past Games!
