Here’s your chance to try official curling on ice, and just in time for the 2022 winter Olympics! One of the world’s oldest team sports, curling originated in the 16th century in Scotland, where games were played during winter on frozen ponds and lochs. The earliest-known curling stones came from the Scottish regions of Stirling and Perth and date from 1511. In the 1600s, stones with handles were introduced.
We will be learning with the Mount Washington Valley Curling Club, who have reserved ice for us on February 12th & 19th from 6-8:30 PM. Sign up early as space is limited. Sessions will be a $20 ice fee per person. Registration will be through the Mount Washington Valley Curling Club’s link.
